Paul Norman

I’m Paul Norman, I’m 65 and I look forward to serving the ward made up of Long Crendon and the surrounding villages of Shabbington, Ickford, Worminghall, Chearsley and Chilton.

I left school at 16, trained as a quantity surveyor working in the UK. At the age of 40 I was fortunate to graduate from the London School of Economics through an access course. I was then sponsored by the LSE for an Msc which I also passed before then returning to the world of construction, working and living both in Poland and the Netherlands.

I currently live in Brill, am a beekeeper and for a short time was a governor at Brill School before realising I still wanted to be involved in the practical side of construction.

I am a practical and constructive Green, I want to see change but I’m realistic about what Long Crendon residents and our farmers can achieve with their current livelihoods and commitments. I welcome transparency in reducing our carbon footprint but it has to be addressed from the ground up not just from the top down. The folks at the top down being preoccupied at present!

I will work for all residents, of all ages, and not just of voting age.

If you want to talk to me about your concerns, please visit the renewed shop in Long Crendon on Wednesdays between 11:00 and 12:30. Looking forward to seeing you!
